It is because every situation is different. Everyone can be healed in the same way the Centurion's servant was heal, but the reality is that not everyone praying for a particular person has the same kind of faith that the Centurion had. It only takes one person to pray for you to be healed in the way the Centurion's servant was healed, but that person has to have great faith (James 5:16-18, Matthew 8:5-13). On the other hand, the person who is being prayed for may have something to do in line with what is written in every Bible out there. See "Why do some people need instructions" Click Here. The bottom line is that it depends on the situation. I've known people who had thousands praying for them from all over the world, who wanted to be healed like the Centurion's servant that died. He didn't want to hear instructions from the Word of God, but he only wanted to be healed through someone else's faith. And that's fine, but if there is no manifestation of healing then it is time to read the rest of the Bible. Don't follow what others say about what faith is; learn for yourself from your own Bible. Check the verses and if no verses are given then ask for them. Many people speak about faith without knowledge of what is written and in doing so rely on what seems right (human reasoning). If you are looking to be healed in one particular way and one way only then you will reject many other methods or even the very instructions from the Word of God that would heal you.
Proverbs 4:20-22 You have probably heard the words "He sent His Word and healed them, but have you ever heard what comes before that verse?
Psalms 107:17-22 Jesus told one blind man to receive his sight and immediately, right then and there in the middle of the crowds he could see. Jesus told him that his faith made him well (Luke 18:42). For a different blind man Jesus took him away from the crowds, spit in his eyes and put His hands on him (Mark 8:23). Now which way is right? If you are thinking you can only receive one way then you might miss out on the other. Jesus had to pray for the guy in Mark 8 twice before he could see clearly. How many times will it take for you or the next person you pray for? Sure, it should only take one time and even without putting your hands on them (John 14:12-13, 15:16), but what if this or that happens, can you deal with change or is only one way right and acceptable to you? Can you minister or be ministered to even if nothing happens after the second time? The Lord has allowed me to see several healed after the third prayer and let's just say that it was my fault, but will you be patient enough for me to pray for you three times or will you faint in your mind after the first? How many times did Elijah pray for the rain to come (1 Kings 18:43)? Look it up and see if you are willing to pray that many times for a promise that you know the Lord can deliver on (Ephesians 3:20). So how many times is right? Most people don't have the time for three, much less seven. One very religious lady told me that I should not pray for people over the phone because I couldn't anoint their heads with oil that way. Now if someone said that to you, what would you be thinking? Here is a lady who obviously knows James chapter 5, but she has spoken against a lot of other scriptures and therefore she can no longer see them (1 Timothy 6:20-21). Did Jesus anoint the Centurion's servant with oil? Which one of the blind men did He anoint with oil? I will not be able to help people like this, praying over the phone or through emails because I can't anoint them with oil and they see that as a requirement before receiving healing from the Lord. What we believe hinders what the Lord can do for us (Matthew 13:58, James 1:5-7). If you believe that you will have to go and touch Jesus' clothes, have the right song playing, fall on the floor, and whatever else you may be thinking before you receive healing from the Lord, then that's what you will have to do. In a way that is still faith, but it is in addition to what is necessary in order to receive healing from the Lord. Great faith just needs the Word with it's divine promises, but weak faith is always dependant on something beyond what is actually written in the Bible and we are not to go beyond what is written (1 Corinthians 4:6-7) or add to the Word of God (Proverbs 30:5-6). Now I have had people fall in the floor, but an amazing thing happens when you don't have people back there to catch them; very few pass out and even if they do the angels protect them (Psalm 91:11-12). Glory Halleluiah! The bottom line is that if you take away everything that you think is needed in order to receive healing from the Lord that is not actually written in your own Bible, and then simply believe what is written in your own Bible concerning healing from the Lord then you are ready to receive healing over the phone or through email contact praise God. All of the additions are simply man made and not needed unless they make us believe they are needed. Cling to the Word of God which contains everything we would ever need for this life according to the Word of the Lord written in 2 Peter 1:3-4. Praise God! Worldly wisdom simply takes away from the power already contained in the Word of God (1 Corinthians 1:17) and makes us dependant on a man or a denomination rather than on the instructions the Lord gave us through His Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21). Men distort the truth for one reason and one reason only; to draw people after themselves (Acts 20:30). If we were all preaching the Word of God then we would be all preaching the same things (1 Timothy 4:1-4), but you can be sure that if you are hearing something that depends on something that is not written in your Bible then it is to draw you into the particular group from which you heard it. I instruct people from any denomination and then send them back to their denomination or where ever they we called to remain by the Lord (1 Corinthians 7:20). Why? Because the main job of any pastor, teacher, prophet, evangelist, or apostle is to equip the body of Christ as described in Ephesians 4:11-15 (below) until we all reached oneness (unity) in the faith and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and that cannot be done any other way outside of getting the actual Word of God to live on the inside of a Christian.
Ephesians 4:11-16 If that were the main focus of any church building in the world, then it would show, but you and I know that our focus has changed drastically and therefore our results have changed drastically. I welcome your comments. Now, let's get back to having the faith to receive. What if you were blind and I just prayed for you without spiting in your eyes and putting my hands on you, are you going to say, "No, I don't want your prayer because you can't anoint me with oil?" Is only one way right? Did Jesus spit in every blind man's eyes? Did Jesus have to pray for one blind man twice (Mark 8:23)? Did Jesus say anoint every head with oil? A lot people who don't have the scriptures living in them want you believe that there is only one way of ministering healing. They may know Mark 11:22-24 by heart or the verse they are using by heart, but they speak directly against other scriptures which is evidence of the lack of scripture living in them. Those whom the Lord sends will speak according to His Words (John 3:34, Jeremiah 23:22). Again two different blind men followed Jesus asking to be healed and He ignored them all the way to where He was going and went inside (Matthew 9:26-29). After they followed Him inside Jesus asked them if they believed if He could make them see? Now keep in mind that Jesus had just raised a girl from the dead at the place where they followed Him from, but He still asked them this question (Matthew 9:25). After they told Jesus that they believed, He touched their eyes and said according to your faith be it done unto you. So far we have three different ways that Jesus healed a blind man, which is right? If they are all right then why do we have major denominations claiming that we do not receive according to our faith? It's because once we proclaim false doctrine and believe it then we can no longer see the verses that we violate or speak against (1 Timothy 6:20-21, Mark 4:24-25), and if you are following the leader then you will believe like the leader (Amos 3:3). Are you following the Holy Spirit (John 16:13, Romans 8:14, Galatians 5:18, 1 John 2:27), or some other spirit (1 Timothy 4:1-2)? Wisdom is proven by her actions (Matthew 11:19). What you are speaking and doing shows whom you are following, and if you are speaking against the Word of God then you are blaspheming what the Holy Spirit wrote (2 Peter 1:20-21). So don't play follow the leader; learn what you are speaking before you speak it. Just because someone you think to be godly is speaking it doesn't mean that he or she is speaking according to what is written. Satan's disciples look and act the part (2 Corinthians 11:14-15), but they don't know Jesus according to what is written (Matthew 7:15-23, 1 John 2:3), and the tares grow with the wheat, so you won't have to look outside of the church building to find them (Matthew 13:36-43). Test everything (1 Thessalonians 5:21)! Check the verses and check everything I say and please send me the verses that I may have violated, if you can find one. I make myself accountable to all who speak according to the Word of the Lord regardless of who they are or where they are from or what denomination they are. There is only one Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:4). If I'm a part of the hand and the mouth says to me straighten up then my policy is to listen first, check the verses and then respond accordingly. If it is proven to be the Word of God then where it came from is immaterial. In fact all of my Brothers and Sisters hear the Word of God (John 8:47). Healing should take place at salvation because Jesus paid for our healing (Isaiah 53:5-6, Matthew 8:17) and I have seen many who were healed just after salvation as well as right before a confession of faith. However there are some people who need instructions (see "Why do some people need instructions" by clicking here) and some miracles which are solely for the glory of God such as the man born blind in John chapter 9 and the raising of Lazarus from the dead in John chapter 11. These miracles were set for a particular time and place in scripture, and I believe that even today there are miracles that are solely for this purpose. As for the man born blind in John 9 Jesus spit on the ground, made mud with the spit and put it in the man's "eyes." Then He told him to go and wash (John 9:1-7). Now which way out of the four methods used by Jesus is right? Hum. If you will only believe one method then only one will work for you. You cannot have what you cannot believe (James 1:5-7), but all things are possible to him who believes (Mark 9:23). If you believe that you will have to go and touch Jesus clothes or be in a certain place, or have the music just right, or whatever, then so be it for you, but if you can believe that you will receive over the phone, or if I can get you to that point much like Jesus spoke with the man who had an infirmity in John 5:5-14 then you will receive over the phone or even over the internet glory be to God! If the Apostle Paul sent you a handkerchief in accordance with Acts 19:11-12, would you refuse to accept it? What is Jesus teaching us with so many different methods of healing? What works for one person may not work for the next person with the problem being on the side of the person and not the Word; depending on the situation. Who's right and who's wrong? Can I pray for people over the phone? I can if they have the faith to receive it, and to God be the glory that many have had the faith to receive. Glory Halleluiah! If I may be of service to you please contact me. If you do not receive over the phone then I will give you instructions Lord willing straight from the Word of God. He sent His Word to heal us (Psalm 107:17-20, Proverbs 4:20-22), so if I give you the Word of God, pretty soon you won't even need me. Glory Halleluiah!!! Does John 15:16 work or do we need to take it out of our Bibles? Does John 15:7 work? Glory Halleluiah! Does John 14:11-13 work? A lot of the people the Lord has allowed me to teach are already praying for and teaching others glory halleluiah! Jesus never needed a building, plane, or anything else except a few good men that would point people toward Him. What do you need in order to do the work of the Lord? Are you pointing people toward Jesus or yourself, your denomination, your particular Bible, or your particular human being (a so called man of faith 1 John 2:27)? The answer to that question should tell you who you are serving. Do you need more than the Holy Spirit to teach you (1 John 2:27). Come let me tell you how Jesus can live on the inside of you and be your man of faith (John 14:21-23) for free! Give me a few good Christ followers and we will change the world for free Lord willing, using what we have right now. I'm not starting my own group, I'm just making disciples of Jesus through the teachings of Jesus. Money only magnifies character. So more money means that you will be doing more of what you are doing now (Luke 16:10). What are you doing? If you are bringing the teachings of Jesus now (2 John 1:7-11), then you will be bringing them later, but if you are just asking for money now, then that's all you'll be doing after you get the money to fulfill your own desires now. After there is enough money to fulfill one desire, the next desire pops up until actually fulfilling what Jesus commanded us to do is simply secondary if mentioned at all (James 2:14-17, 1 John 3:16-18, Luke 10:25-37, Matthew 25:31-46). Watch Christian TV. The ones who were asking for money last year are still asking for even more money this year, but most never bring the teachings of Jesus (2 John 1:7-11) therefore you are still waiting on your seed to multiply and they are still building something, but you never get winged to follow what the Spirit wants you to do because you are their disciple. Imagine that. One says "I follow so and so," and yet another, "I follow so and so," but your Bible says that neither are anything (1 Corinthians 3:5-7). Check the verses. My friend Jesus Christ is the leader and we are going to follow Him through following the Holy Spirit's lead (John 16:13, Romans 8:14, Hebrews 3:7-4:13, Galatians 5:18). Check the verses! And the Holy Spirit is going to lead you into all truth (John 14:26). The Word is truth (John 17:17) . Glory Halleluiah! And He is going to lead us into doing what Jesus commanded us to do; Love your neighbor as your self (John 13:14-15, 15:12, 17, 1 John 3:23)! There is nothing wrong with building a building if everyone involved wants to meet inside rather than outside, but buildings should be extremely far from the main teaching in any church. Scroll down. Are you living by faith right now according to what is actually written in your own Bible? Most of the people who have watched this DVD teaching on faith have told me to let them know when the next one comes out because they have learned so much from this one. These are things that every Christian in the world should already know especially if you have been a Christian for more than a few years. God's people are destroyed because they don't know something (Hosea 4:6). Simple faith or child like faith will work for anyone who believes. This jammed packed Bible teaching could be the difference between things working out for you just like it is written in your Bible or not. Learning to live by faith has made the biggest difference that I know of for the ones I have been allowed to minister to. Praise God! Continued So now what have you learned? Why is it that one person can be healed just by having someone else pray for them like the Centurion (Matthew 8:5-10) and the next person needs instructions or the faith to receive? The Centurion had great faith, the greatest among the people in Israel at the time Jesus spoke with him (Matthew 8:10), and this is something to consider. Jesus said in Matthew 9:29, "According to your faith be it done unto you." So we do receive according to our faith, or at least the faith of the one praying for us looking at the Centurions servants case. However, the people who brought the paralytic in Mark 2:1-5 had faith too, but the paralytic needed his sins to be forgiven before he was healed (Mark 2:5). Check the verses before you speak against them or me. Glory Halleluiah! So some people will need to repent before they see a manifestation of healing. Don't think so? Finish this page and then read the "why do some people need instructions page;" click here. I've seen people healed who had their problem come back a few hours or days or weeks later and so has every healer in the country. Smith Wigglesworth, Katherine Kulman, John G. Lakes, it doesn't matter, all of them have experienced this. They were obviously healed through my faith praise God, but what good is it if their problem comes back even worse than before (Luke 11:20-23)? I guess it would be good for me if I was keeping up with the number of people healed, and there are a lot of miracle chasers out there this day and time who keep up with the numbers, but is that any count if the problem comes back? Read James 5:13-16 from your own Bible. If the person being prayed for needs to repent of something then why not get on with it and be healed!
James 5:13-16 Every Christian should know these verses well enough to welcome the question if someone went to pray for them in the hospital. If they didn't have anything to repent of then great, praise God, but we should welcome the question from those who come to help us and want to see us healed rather than respond with "I can't believe you even asked that question." In verses 14 and 15 the prayer of faith made the sick person well. However, in verse 16 we are told to confess our sins to one another so that we may be healed. This means that some will have to confess their sins before they are healed. Check the verse from your own Bible. So it depends on the person. When we pray for others, we can pray for sins that don't lead to death without ministering and they will be forgiven, but if there is sin leading to death then ministering and then repentance will be needed. It could be as simple as a prayer of forgiveness (1 John 1:9) or forgiving others (Matthew 6:14-15), but ministering is required by someone who knows the scriptures.
1 John 5:16-17 This brings up another point. Some people will tell you that we should not pray for infirmities, but only cast them out according to Mark 11:22-26. I can see how they would think that way if they can no longer see certain verses in the Bible because they have spoken against them (1 Timothy 6:20-21). If the verses above (James 5:13-16) were not enough to say that there may be times when we would pray for someone instead of casting a problem out, then read the verses below and tell me if we might have to pray for the sick at times.
Mark 9:29 As you can see, sometimes we are going to have to pray and even more (fasting) in order to see healing manifest. You can receive according to your own Faith.
Matthew 9:29
"According to your faith let it be to you."
Acts
14:8-10 Now why didn't Paul tell everyone there to be healed in the name of Jesus? Why would Paul need to observe him before calling him out? Read 1 Timothy 5:22. The Apostle Paul observed that he had the faith to be healed and then called to him. So the bottom line is that we can be healed according to our own faith, point blank period. So why would anyone say that we don't receive according to our faith? In some cases our faith may not have anything to do with it, but in most cases it does and it is clearly written that is does so don't speak against what is written unless you want to fall away from the faith (1 Timothy 6:20-21). What did Jesus say in Mark 9:23? Did He say that everything is possible to those who believe? What is written in Ephesians 3:20? What can God do according to Ephesians 3:20 in your Bible? Does this sound like the God you know? When did Jesus say that you would be able to ask for anything and receive it according to John 15:16, and 1 John 3:21-23? Do those verses have anything to do with faith? Why isn't this being taught today in churches across the world? Surely it isn't because we don't believe Jesus is it? What did Jesus say in John 15:7? Do you believe that? I'm telling you that it works just like it is written in your own Bible, but it's not being taught because it's not working in today's church. I want to help fix that problem praise God! In some places it's almost as if John chapter 14 and chapter 15 have been taken out of the gospel message in the USA. I was called Satan and a false prophet in one church just for preaching John 15:1-17. My friend read 2 John 1:7-11 below so that you may be able to recognize false prophets because if I am invited I will be bringing the teachings of Jesus with me just like it is written in your Bible.
2 John 7-11
Romans 10:17 Don't be tricked by those who follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons according to 1 Timothy 4:1. We live by every word from the mouth of God according to Matthew 4:4 and Deuteronomy 8:3. If any preacher or teacher doesn't speak according to what is written (2 Corinthians 4:13) then maybe God didn't send them to speak according to John 3:34 and Jeremiah 23:22. Check the verses. So if there are places that you cannot go or talk about in your own Bible then there is a reason; the spirit keeping you in bondage doesn't want you to be set free! You will know the truth and the truth will set you free (John 8:31-32). The Word is truth according to John 17:17, and if you can't hear it where you are then someone or something doesn't want you to be set free. Those whom the Lord sends speaks His Words! Who am I accountable to? Click here and let me tell you. I don't deny that there are miracles that are just for the glory of God because that is what is written in the Word of God (John 9), but in a lot of cases we receive according to our faith (Matthew 9:29). Good faith thinks that we have got to go and touch Jesus clothes before we can receive (Mark 5:25-34), better faith takes Jesus at His Word (John 4:46-53). Great faith believes that Jesus just has to give the command (Luke 7:1-10), that He has already given (Psalm 103:2-3; Isaiah 53:5-6; 1 Peter 2:24; Matthew 8:17; Proverbs 4:20-22; Psalm 41:1-3; 107:20; 118:17-18). Praise God! Glory Halleluiah! Only believe! Good faith is great, but great faith is better. Speak to that mountain according to Mark 11:22-26 and if it doesn't move then I will help you figure out why for free and according to the Word of the Lord written in the Bible, and then go back and speak to it again because the problem is never, never, never on God's side! Yes your miracle may be just for the glory of God just like the man who was born blind in John 9, but either way nothing is going to happen until someone speaks the Word of God. Praise the Lord! Only believe! The Word of God is still working just like it says it will for those who have faith! Glory Halleluiah! Please visit the "Why do some people need instructions" page; click here. Consider that Balaam was rebuked (corrected) by a donkey (Numbers 22, 2 Peter 2:15-16) and what would have happened if he didn't listen? So does it really matter who I am accountable to as long as they speak according to the Word of God? Should Christians not teach and warn (admonish) one another according to the Word of the Lord written in Colossians 3:16 in your Bible? The truth is the truth no matter who the messenger is. If you speak according to the Word of God I will make myself accountable to you regardless of who you are, or what church you belong to, or what your position is in the church. Just communicate with me and send me the verses. I don't ever want to be so big time that I can't hear the Word of God (John 8:47) or so far out of reach that you can't reach me if you have a message for me. I make myself accountable to anyone who speaks the Word of God as it is written without going beyond what is written (1 Corinthians 4:6-7) or adding to the Word of God (Proverbs 30:5-6), and so should you. Check the verses! Anyone who speaks the Word of God may be sent by God (John 3:34,Jeremaih 23:22). The truth is the truth no matter who the messenger is. If you are speaking directly against a verse in Colossians while you are trying to explain something in Ephesians wouldn't you want to know it? Imagine if you could speak with people who clearly violate the Word of God everyday on radio and TV, wouldn't that make them better? Wouldn't that bring more unity? If we were all preaching the Word of God then we would all be preaching the same things. Imagine that. If people have gathered around themselves a great number of teachers to say what they want to hear according to 2 Timothy 4:1-4, then how soon would an accountability group made up of the same people correct (rebuke) the leader with the scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16)? So then, I make myself accountable to you and anyone who speaks according to what is written and not worldly wisdom. It is far better to make yourself accountable to those who will speak the truth of God's Word without considering who you are. Therefore, if you have something to say or if you think differently, no problem. Send me an email or join my Bible Study Group and send the verses. I change my mind using the Word of God (Hebrews 4:12).
Every question should be answered with scripture. Every question should be answered with scripture or it should not be answered at all point blank period because we are instructed not to go beyond what is written (1 Corinthians 4:6-7), and we are instructed not to add to what is written (Proverbs 30:5-6). We only know in part now (1 Corinthians 13:9), but the part we do know we should rely on because everything we need for this life is already written in the Bible according to 2 Peter 1:3-4. For this life we live right now on Earth, we don't need the parts that are not written. Take a look at Proverbs 30:5-6, 1 Corinthians 4:6-7 from your own Bible.
Proverbs 30:5-6 Men distort scripture for one reason; to make disciples for themselves (Acts 20:30). How can you tell the difference? If anyone is making disciples of Christ Jesus, he will be teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded us to do according to the great commission (Matthew 28:19-20). By their fruits you will recognize them (Matthew 7:17-20). Anyone who runs ahead, but does not continue in the teachings of Jesus does not have God (2 John 1:7-11). Check the verses to see if what I am telling you is true. Don't be tricked by the miracles, because false prophets cast out demons too according to Matthew 7:21-23, but they never come to know Jesus according to what is written in their own Bibles. I believe that this Bible teaching is needed so much today throughout the body of Christ that I will send you one of these DVD's right now even without a donation because I know your faith will grow through this teaching. Praise God! After receiving it, if you decide that this teaching is worth the $5 donation per DVD then you can come back to my website and use the donate button. Glory Halleluiah! Just email me at alanpballou@thehealingbook.com or contact me through this website. Did you receive a free copy at one of my healing seminars? If you have received these DVD's at one of my seminars then please use one of the "donate" buttons and not the "buy now" buttons. If you have received only one free copy and would like the other DVD in this teaching series then use the "buy now" button above and I will send it to you. Praise God. Return Policy If you have purchased The Calling of God DVD through PayPal, but have decided that it did not drastically grow your faith and are not worth the ten dollars then send me an email message proclaiming just that, then mail the DVD's back to me (Alan Ballou, P.O.
